Question: How to choose an activated carbon mill?

Reply:

Dear Blaise,

Activated carbon is a specially treated charcoal that heats organic materials (shells, coal, wood, etc.) under air-insulated conditions to reduce non-carbon components (this process is called charring) and then reacts with gases forming surfaces erosion to produce a microporous structure (this process is called activation).

Activated carbon has a developed pore structure, a large specific surface area and a rich surface chemical group, and has strong adsorption capacity, which is also an advantageous characteristic of activated carbon being widely used. Whether it is industrial desulfurization and denitrification, decolorization, clean water in life, or adsorption of harmful gases to purify the air, there are activated carbon figures.

In the preparation process of activated carbon, milling is one of the important links, which involves the selection of activated carbon mill. The mill has a number of coarse grinding, fine grinding, ultra-fine grinding, etc. Generally speaking, the application of activated carbon mainly involves the processing of fine powder and ultrafine powder.

In the selection of fine grinding equipment, there are commonly used European type grinding mill (new raymond mill), vertical mill, their fineness between 80-405 mesh, can meet the requirements of this range of activated carbon milling. The output of single machine is above 3t/h, and the output of large machines is up to 40 or 50 tons.

In the selection of ultra-fine grinding equipment, there are ultra-fine vertical mill and micro-powder mill. The fineness of the finished product can be processed from 400 mesh to 2500 mesh. The fineness is high, the output is naturally reduced, and the capacity is above 1 ton at 400-1000 mesh. When it exceeds 1000 mesh, it is produced at 0.6 ton or more, and the output is large or small. It is necessary to select different models.

All activated carbon mill operate under negative pressure and are equipped with standard dust collector. The dust emission concentration can be controlled at 20mg/m3, which is in line with the national environmental protection production regulations, and the workshop can basically achieve dust-free production.

You can choose the right model according to your own production requirements. We have technical staff to give professional reference suggestions.
