Mining in Africa
Despite the financial crisis, Africa continues to experience a significant growth in resources. About two-thirds of African countries have mining operations in progress. More than half of African countries consider mining as an important economic activity and produce minerals for an international market beyond the borders of Africa.
Africa has about 30 percent of global mineral reserves. The continent has the largest mineral reserves of platinum, gold, diamonds, iron chromite, manganese and vanadium in the world.
Mining, if properly managed, could contribute substantially to economic growth of Africa and its progress on the MDGs.
The Kefid jaw crusher is widely used in mines and quarries, as well as other industrial applications. Generally, the jaw crusher is adaptable for crushing fine, medium and crude minerals and rocks with a compressive strength below 300 MPa.
