Aggregate for crushed - stone base or subbase shall be derived from hard, sound and durable rock. There is a division of the grades of the size of the road construction used stones. That is G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6 and G7.

For base and subbase, G1-3 is required. G1-2 is 37.5mm. G3 is 37.5 or 26.5mm.

For pavement layers, G4-7 is required. The size of them is from 26.7 to 75mm.

For such size of stones, we need use crushing and screening plants. If the good cubic shape output is required, and the hardness of the stone is less, the impact crusher and vertical shaft impact crusher will be given priority. For bigger output size, the impact crusher will be suitable. For small size like 5mm, you can choose the vertical shaft impact crusher(sand making machine).

For hard stones and less requirement about the output shape, the cone crusher will be given priority for its high productivity and good performance for hard stones.
