Characteristics of calcium carbide:
Calcium carbide belongs to a kind of brown or black solid block. Its pure product is colorless  crystals (purple with high CaC). The density is 2.22 g / cc. It is relatively easy to break due to its low hardness.

Use of finished product:
1. Calcium carbide is the most important raw materials of acetylene chemical. The reaction of calcium carbide with water acetylene synthesis can make many organic compounds, such as synthetic rubber, artificial resins, acetone,ketene, carbon black and so on. Acetylene-oxygen flame is widely used in metal welding and cutting.
2.When heat powdered calcium carbide with nitrogen, the reaction is calcium Cyanamid,namely, lime nitrogen, heating lime nitrogen and salt the reaction of cyanide melt is used in gold mining and non-ferrous metal industry.
3. Calcium carbide can be used as desulfurization agent in the steel industry.
