The function about the grid plate of grate ball mill

Grid plate is unique parts of lattice-type ball mill, which makes up ore discharge cells with the center plate and the dustpan plate. Its main roles:
1. Achieve ball mill forced discharge ore (low row of ore), mineral aggregate turnover is quick, excessive wear is light, which is help to improve grate ball mill's capacity;
2. A sieving effect. It may prevent large mineral aggregate and grated medium discharge. The lattice holes of grid plate nesting should discharge unobstructed.
Lattice holes' pattern has a variety of ways:
1). Concentrically arranged. Slurry flow along plaid, plaid hole badly worn, the pulp is easy to return;
2). Radiation order. Mineral particles instantaneously through the grid plate by centrifugal force moves outward along the hole, which likely cause a congestion;
3). Arranged obliquely. This arrangement overcomes the shortcomings of concentrically and radially arranged, which has been widely used;

Advantages and disadvantages of lattice-type ball mill and overflow ball mill:
The advantage of lattice-type ball mill is discharging speed, can reduce the over crushed gravel, and can increase the yield per unit volume than the overflow ball mill with high yields. The disadvantage is that the complex structure, easy to plug the time of discharge grid plates, and maintenance difficult, complex, relatively low operating rate.
Overflow ball mill has the advantage of simple structure, easy maintenance, since the discharge tube casting a counter-thread, lump ores and balls are difficult to discharge machine. The disadvantage is that the production capacity per unit volume is low, easy to produce over crushed phenomenon.
